Lately I have been going through some things that have me looking for inspiration. Some words of wisdom to lift me up; remind me that things will get better, and to stay positive. I really love quotes, how they can make me think about a situation differently, or make me feel inspired.
I wrote a blog post a couple of days ago about some of my favorite quotes that keep me motivated to keep moving ahead. I wanted to do a different twist and focus on inspiring quotes that incorporate candles since we make wonderful hand poured soy candles!
Here are some of my favorites:
I love that candles evoke such emotion in people, whether it is the scent that brings back memories, or the flame that creates a mood. I also love the metaphor of a candle being able to help others (lighting other candles) without extinguishing their own flame. It is so true in relationships whether they are personal or professional.
I belong to a great organization called Indie Business Network and I find that the members are so giving with information and truly want to lift each other up. They understand that by helping others, it does not hurt their business; it helps them grow their network.
On a personal level, I love the quote about how a friend is the wax and an enemy is the wind. True friends are happy for your success and want to support you in any way they can, but enemies will try to discourage you or dampen your spirit.
